Welcome back to school, Sundevils! We're back for Spring Semester and have some tips for staying focused!
Get a head-start on your assignments
You were given a syllabus in class and there's surely one on Blackboard as well, why not use them to your advantage? Start early if you can, get things done before it all starts to pile up again. Skim through your textbooks, read the assignments if necessary, prepare for any questions you may have or even questions your peers or professors will have for you.
Don't forget to fill out your FAFSA
The FAFSA opened up at the top of 2016, literally on January 1st at midnight and getting ahead and filling it out as much and as best as you can can never hurt. Submitting early increases your chances of receiving the most financial aid you are eligible for and that DEFINITELY doesn't hurt, right? (If you need help, try asking around or try using step-by-step guides like Edvisors or NerdWallet to make the process a little bit easier).
Set a few goals
Reminisce over fall semester, what mistakes did you make? How can you avoid them this semester? Try pacing yourself but also try to set a few more goals this semester. Make a plan - slow and steady can win a race, though, so be patient-.
Have fun!
Try not to overwhelm yourself, you're allowed to have a little fun too. Come on out to the SAC meeting on January 24th, 2016 at 5PM in the Student Center. ;)
We hope to see you there!
