Changemaker Central is a program at all of the ASU campuses. Changemaker empowers students to cultivate a culture that tackles local and global challenges!
Here at Havasu, our goals for Changemaker are to do one service project per month and to have a partner of the month present information about their non-profit organization for students and the community.
This month, our service project is an animal food drive that will benefit the Western Arizona Humane Society in Lake Havasu. They have taken in 293 dogs and 86 cats from October 1st until December 31st, 2015, according to Lake Havasu 2nd Quarter 2015 – 2016 Intake & Disposition on www.westernarizonahumane.com. Many of those animals do find forever homes, however, some do not. Please put your donations in either the Student Center or the Admin Office. The food drive is going on now through January 29th. To get further information about what the shelter is in need of, check out the link below.

On Monday, January 25th at 3:00 PM, we will welcome the Interagency Council. The Interagency Council will inform students on volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved in the community.
If you would like to get involved in Changemaker, please join us at our next meeting on February 17th at 4:30 PM in the Student Center. We have monthly meetings every third Wednesday of the month. Hope to see you there!
