- Avoid eating too often.
- Instead of having 3 huge meals in one day try and expand that to 5-6 smaller meals a day.
- Portion out your meals.
- Portioning your foods is a great way to not overeat. A trick to make this easier is by grabbing a smaller plate instead of your regular large plate. This helps deceive that fact that you are eating less, but still enough to be satisfied.
- Eat the rainbow.
- Eating every color type of food from leafy greens, fruits of all colors along with red meats and so on and so forth. Eating everything on the food pyramid is one of best and naturals ways to intake all the necessary nutrients and vitamins the human body needs, of course in moderation.
- Know when you’re hungry.
- People often confuse as to whether they are hungry or just simply dehydrated. When you seem to feel hungry, drink one glass of water then wait for 30 minutes and see if you are still hungry.
- Choose healthier snacks.
- When choosing snacks try and reach out for healthier options such as an apple, baby carrots, yogurt and trail mix; of course if you choose trail mix choose the ones that don’t contain M&M’s or chocolate chips since it does defeat the purpose of a healthier alternative. -Wendy Cruz http://www.weebly.com/OP/HealthyEatingTips
